Lava solarkraftwerk

Lava solarkraftwerk

Lava is a climate-tech startup turning breakthrough isothermal heat-engine and heat-pump R&D into real-world megawatts. Our systems pair record thermal efficiency with factory-ready manufacturability, unlocking clean power where it matters most. The world's most efficient heat engine transforms heat into zero-emission electricity at near-perfect efficiency. Under construction, a cylindrical-shaped storage centre will be a dynamic sculpture, a city icon, a knowledge hub on sustainable energy and fully accessible to the public with city views. Construction has started on the redesign of an energy storage tower by LAVA (Laboratory for Visionary Architects) for Stadtwerke Heidelberg (SWH) in Heidelberg, Germany.

The project combines flow batteries for long-duration storage and lithium-ion systems for quick response – like having both a marathon runner and sprinter on your energy team. Recent data shows these hybrid systems can reduce renewable curtailment by up to 40% [6]. A sun-scorched desert nation sitting on the world's fourth-largest natural gas reserves suddenly betting big on battery storage. Turkmenistan''s T& D system is characterized by high losses and is in need for ehabilitation and i duce carbon dioxide emissions (Faunce et al. ADB’s first major energy project in Turkmenistan: $500M built 1,400 km of lines & 11 substations, boosting exports and strengthening the grid.
